AFC Fylde are delighted to announce the loan signing of  Camron Gbadebo from Manchester City until the end of the season.

The strong, commanding defender arrives at Mill Farm after starring for Manchester City’s Elite Development Squad this season.

Camron has featured in Manchester City U21’s Papa John’s Trophy campaign this season, and will now be looking to further his development with The Coasters.

The 18-year-old made the move to Premier League giants Manchester City last January, having progressed through Leicester City’s academy system.

Commenting on the signing, Jim Bentley, said: “We’re really excited to be getting a young prospect from one of the best academy setups in the world. He comes highly recommended, so we are looking forward to working with him. He’s currently returning from an injury, so will join us in a couple of weeks once he is back to full fitness.

“We would like to place on record our thanks to Manchester City for trusting us with Camron’s development. Hopefully, this will be the start of a strong relationship in which both clubs can benefit.”

Camron will join up with Jim Bentley’s side within the next two weeks, as he edges closer to a return from injury.
