The Coasters can confirm that Ash Hemmings has returned to the club following his loan to Altrincham.

The loan deal was set to run until the 14th January, however, Manager Dave Challinor was keen to bring Hemmings back into the fold.

“We’ve recalled Ash from his loan at Altrincham to come back into our squad for the game tomorrow,” Challinor explains.

“We are short on numbers at present with Lewis’ minor set back and James still not fit, and with the loans of Danny Williams and Jim Kellermann expiring after the Barrow game, we needed to have him with us.”

“The loan has done what we’d all hoped, he’s gone there, played five times, starting four and scored two goals.

“He’s been well received there and it may be something we can look at doing in the future if his game time here becomes limited.”

Ash Hemmings will be available for selection for tomorrow’s New Year’s Day clash with Barrow.
