A big thanks to the chairman, management and players of AFC Fylde for bringing the fun and excitement back into my life as a football spectator.

Over 7,000 fans watched two games of football, home and away, in the local Xmas derby.

There was passion, pride and commitment demonstrated by all at AFC Fylde. As a fan that’s all I ask for.

Good entertainment, good crowds, good banter and football that is still a game of the people, not the elite in glass boxes with a mass of prawn sandwiches.

Thank you for making my footballing Christmas the most fun it’s been in years.
