The FA Women’s National League fixtures for the 2023/24 season were released on Monday, and AFC Fylde Women are gearing up for another big season in the Northern Premier Division.

The Coasters compete in the third tier of the Women’s Football Pyramid. Last season, Fylde recorded a solid seventh-place finish, collecting 26 points from 22 games. The team also enjoyed success in several cup competitions, including a memorable run in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup.

With new First Team Manager Jack Garside installed at the helm, the Coasters are preparing for the big kick-off on 20th August when they travel across the Pennines to face Huddersfield Town Women at the Stafflex Arena. For their first home game, Fylde welcome newly promoted Newcastle United Women to Kellamergh Park on 3rd September.

In their first midweek fixture, the Coasters host Burnley Women in the week commencing 4th September. Fylde then visit the Halbrooke Stadium on 10th September to meet last season’s Northern Premier Division champions Nottingham Forest Women.

A week later, Fylde host newly promoted Stourbridge Women on 17th September, before rounding off the month with a trip to the New Buck’s Head to meet Wolves Women on 24th September.

October presents Fylde with three successive home fixtures, with West Bromwich Albion Women (8th October), Liverpool Feds (week commencing 9th October) and Derby County Women (22nd October) the visitors within the space of a fortnight.

The Coasters start November with a trip to the Potteries to face Stoke City Women on 5th November. The rest of the month is taken up by cup competitions, including the early rounds of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup. The First Round Proper is scheduled for 12th November, with the Second Round Proper set for 26th November.

Fylde’s final league fixture of 2023 falls on 3rd December when they host the newly formed Halifax FC Women, formerly known as Brighouse Town Women.

The Coasters kick off 2024 with an away trip to Newcastle United Women on 7th January, before returning to Kellamergh Park on 14th January to host Nottingham Forest Women. A fortnight later, Fylde travel to Stourbridge on 28th January for their away meeting with the Glass Girls.

February begins with a home game against Wolves Women on 11th February, followed by another midweek Lancashire derby against Burnley Women in the week commencing 19th February.

The Coasters play host to Stoke City Women on 10th March, before hitting the road for the next three league fixtures with trips to Liverpool Feds (week commencing 11th March), Derby County Women (24th March) and West Bromwich Albion Women (31st March).

Huddersfield Town Women are the visitors for Fylde’s final home game on the 21st of April. The Coasters conclude their season with a trip to Halifax Women on 5th May.
