Jim Bentley’s side have confirmed their pre-season fixtures, as they look to prepare for the 2020/21 National League North campaign.

The Coasters will begin with a trip to face Wigan Atheltic, with the final home match at Mill Farm coming against Altrincham later on in September.

AFC Fylde are continuing to monitor the fluid situation of supporters attending matches. We will look to put out information on a game-by-game basis with regards to whether supporters are able to view the matches or not.

Upon finalising the pre-season schedule, AFC Fylde Chief Executive Jonty Castle said: “We’re really pleased to have finalised the schedule and we feel this will give us the necessary preparations ahead of next season. Everything has been planned alongside Jim and his coaching staff to ensure that we get the squad to be as competitive as possible ready for the new season.

“Usually, we would have played some showcase fixtures against EFL Championship opposition and/or higher at Mill Farm, which has always been exciting for our fans and a much-needed source of revenue for the club. However, the season will be underway in the EFL by the time we begin our matches, so this wasn’t possible this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the later start date of the National League system.

“We’re in dialogue with our opposition about our fans being able to watch the games that are away from home and we can update supporters as and when we get this information. Unfortunately, as things stand, there is no possibility of fans watching our home fixtures. We will of course make sure there is a high-standard of coverage across our usual social media channels and the website to keep fans as connected as we can.

“We’re looking forward to all the games and would like to thank the club’s that we have agreed to play.”
