The AFC Fylde Community Foundation was delighted to welcome Under 11 Kirkham Juniors last Saturday afternoon. The Under 11’s participated in a wide range of football activities and drills with our coaches prior to the AFC Fylde v Chorley game. The Foundation brandished 30 free tickets to the children and adults of Kirkham Juniors for the game which they thoroughly enjoyed.

Kirkham Juniors manager, Craig Renshaw, was full of praise for The Foundation after an eventful day. “We’ve really enjoyed the day. The whole experience was fantastic and the children have enjoyed every aspect of it. Ryan, Jack and Manvir made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The weather was kind to us as it didn’t rain and the sun was out.”

Chorley ran out 1-3 winners against AFC Fylde but that didn’t stop Kirkham Juniors from enjoying their day out and Craig expects big things for AFC Fylde and the Community Foundation. “Some of the children are big AFC Fylde fans so they were a little disappointed to lose the game but the whole day out was too good for them to be upset about the result. I think the club and the AFC Fylde Community Foundation are heading in the right direction. The club are still in a great position for automatic promotion and the Foundation is continuously making positive steps.”
