AFC Fylde boss Dave Challinor knows his side are all eagerly anticipating Saturday’s semi-final second leg at Edgeley Park.

The Coasters head to Stockport County knowing that a victory will set them up for a Buildbase FA Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium on the 19th May.

After the goalless draw at Mill Farm, The Coasters know it will be a difficult afternoon against the National League North promotion hopefuls, who have impressed in the competition this season.

Dan Bradley, Ash Hemmings and Lewis Walters are all cup-tied and unavailable, whilst Serhat Tasdemir away on international duty for Azerbaijan U19’s.

For Dave Challinor however, this doesn’t come as a concern. “There’s no selection issue, even though some players are unavailable,” he said on Thursday afternoon.

“We knew where we’d be coming into this tie, the cup-tied lads were a given and we knew when Tugs (Serhat Tasdemir) would be away.”

“Arlen Birch is the only surprise but he’s been carrying a niggle for a while, it’s just part of the game and it forced us to tighten up and he couldn’t complete the game.”

Birch was forced off at half-time in the first leg, replaced by on-loan Norwich City defender Timi Odusina, who impressed his manager in his appearance.

“We’re in a position where we can make a change if necessary, Timi came on and did well,” said Challinor. “We’re in a good place and full of confidence.”

“Everyone wants to be involved Saturday, it’s a massive game with a fantastic atmosphere with a big prize at the end of it.”

“Obviously we travel to Leyton Orient on Tuesday and then have a TV game next week at Aldershot Town, so it’s a very exciting week with a great opportunity for us.”
