Fylde Ladies have completed the signing of Wales international Alys Hinchcliffe from Aston Villa.

The 22-year-old forward formerly turned out for Wrexham and Cardiff and made her Coasters debut against Leeds United earlier this month after being suitably impressed by Fylde manager Conrad Prendergast.

Hinchcliffe said: “Conrad and I talked for a long time about the exciting future ahead, the support the girls have right through to plans for promotion to the new look WSL.

“I’m very much looking forward to the new challenge, pushing myself and achieving things with Fylde.

“It’s exciting to be joining a club with such ambition and I want to help achieve success in any way I can.

“Initially my first goal is to become an established first team member.

“Joining a new team is never easy and I know I have a lot to prove.

“Secondly, I want to make sure I keep improving. I’m still young and feel I have not got anywhere close to reaching my potential yet.

“The facilities and coaching staff will help me massively in increasing my performance levels.

“Finally, I’m hoping to make a big contribution to the team’s success. I love scoring goals and hopefully I can help Fylde achieve promotion to WSL.”

The Ladies are back in action tomorrow evening (30th January, 7:30pm) when they take on Premier League leaders Blackburn Rovers at Kellamergh Park.
