AFC Fylde take on Worcester City at the weekend in the final game of the 2015-16 National League North season.

The Coasters have already wrapped up a place in the play-offs but will have to wait until Saturday evening to find out their opposition in the semi-finals.

North Ferriby United head into the weekend as favourites to finish second and avoiding defeat at home to Alfreton Town will see them claim the runners up spot.

As things stand, Fylde would face Harrogate in the play-offs, but both Boston United and Nuneaton Town could still overtake the Yorkshire outfit, who face relegated Corby Town on Saturday.

Fylde have the upper hand over Harrogate this season, picking up four points, most recently in the 2-1 home victory last weekend.

Top scorer Danny Rowe and James Hardy put the Coasters into a comfortable lead before Warren Burrell netted a late consolation for the visitors.

Ten-man Fylde suffered late heartbreak against this weekend’s opponents Worcester in the reverse fixture back in January, slipping to a 3-2 defeat.

Worcester took the lead after just six minutes through Amadou Bakayoko before the match erupted in to controversy when Josh Langley was shown a straight red card for lashing out at James Smith. Danny Nti converted the resultant penalty to put the visitors into the driving seat.

Goals from Dion Charles and Danny Rowe completed a tremendous fightback for the Coasters, however there was to be one final twist as Nti grabbed his second of the game to condemn Dave Challinor’s brave troops to defeat.

Team news:

Challinor is likely to shuffle his pack this weekend as the Coasters anticipate a play-off semi-final just four days later. Defenders Adam Sumner, Josh Langley and Dom Collins all missed out last weekend due to injury, whilst midfielder Sam Finley is unlikely to be risked with a knee problem.
