Working in partnership is the key to success for the AFC Fylde Community Foundation.

Formed in December 2012, AFC Fylde Community Foundation have invested heavily in local communities helping and supporting thousands of people through a diverse range of educational and physical activity programmes.

The Foundation takes great pride in its diversity and inclusion agenda, supporting everyone in the local community from the ages of two to 99 irrespective of ability or gender.

Alongside an impressive roster of school and nursery sports sessions, the Foundation delivers an extensive range of programmes including:

  •   Ex-Offender Rehabilitation
  •   Changing Futures Traineeship Programme
  •   ‘Train Like A Pro’ Football Programme
  •   Sports and Performing Arts Camps
  •   Matchday Experience
  •   Social Inclusion Sessions
  •   Youth Clubs
  •   Community Outreach

As the committed team – led by Director Tom Hutton – has steadily grown, the Foundation has been able to extend its reach further afield to Wyre and Preston providing more opportunities for more people. But Tom says, it is mainly down to working in partnership with local organisations such as BAE Systems, that the Foundation has been able to achieve such remarkable success.

He said: “The Foundation is extremely grateful for the backing of BAE Systems. Without this support, we would not be able to achieve the results that we do. Thanks to BAE Systems, we can invest, educate and support local people while continuing to progress and set new, more ambitious goals within the community. I’d like to place on record my thanks to the company for their continued belief in us. Working together, I’m confident that we are going to reach even greater heights.”
