Player Profiles
Craig Unsworth - Goalkeeper
Craig has enjoyed a great season for Fylde Reserves and Freckleton where he picked up some valuable experience last season. Won the U18's Player of the Year last season which was well deserved for his committment and hard work with GK Coach Neil Mitchell.
Louis Lambeth - Defender
Another talented defender who stepped up with ease from the U18's. Plays down the left hand side , good passer and committed in the tackle. Played for Freckleton to build up experience last season and won Players Player of the Year and Player of the year for the Reserves. Will be keen to build on that next season and get amongst the 1st team squad.
Danny Monckton - Defender
Danny has progressed well from the U18's as skipper into an accomplished and committed defender who never gives less than 100% as a centre half or right back. That has seen him step up into the 1st team squad several times in 09-10 and 10-11 seasons winning the clubs young player of the year award last season. Expect to see him in more 1st team action next season. ON LOAN AT SQUIRES GATE
Sam Betts - Defender
Tall, uncompromising centre half who has progressed through from the U18's in readiness for this season. A handful in both penalty areas he has great potential to develop into a dominant central defender and will enjoy training with the 1st team this season to build his experience. Played in 1st team pre-season friendlies and made a big impression.
Michael Nolan - Midfielder
Nolan has shown his credtentials coming through the U18's and now the reserves to push for a 1st team place. A physical player in the centre of the park with an eye for goal he will be keen to re-discover the form that saw him play several times for the 1st team last time out.
Craig Burke - Midfielder
Skillful midfielder who can also play up front. Players Player of the year for the U18's title winning side in 09-10. Played in midfield for Freckleton last season to build up experience.
Ryan Dodd - Midfielder
Now in his 4th season at club and still only 20. Committed and confident lad, Reserves team Captain and also played for Freckleton last season. Has been on the fringes of the 1st team squad and made several appearances in 09-10 season.
Ross Ainsworth - Midfielder
Very quick two footed footballer who can play on either wing or up front and scores goals. Represented the Lancashire FA U18 squad for the U18's in 09-10 and last season played for Freckleton to aid his development for 1st team football. Has made the 1st team squad in pre-season games and has done well when coming off the bench. One to keep an eye on.
Isaac Kusaloka - Striker
Kusaloka joined Fylde in summer 2009 from Squires Gate after scoring 13 goals in the Premier Division in 08-09. in 09-10 played for the reserves and was a squad member for the 1st team seveeral times. Isaac was top scorer for the reserves last season and with Freckleton FC. Has great ability, pace and has been called up to the 1st team squad several times and is hungry for more next season. Another player who came through Preston College side. ON LOAN AT SQUIRES GATE
Tutu Chilufya - Striker
Another Zambian born forward Teenage striker Chilufya came to the club in summer 2010 joining our U18 side. Tutu has enjoyed another prolific season in front of goal scoring double figures for both reserves and U18's. He attends Preston College and has been called up the both Lancashire and English College sides many times this season after representing. Injury blighted the start of the 11-12 season but now on way back to fitness and has great potential to develop into a 1st team player.
Ricardo Egidi - Striker
Top scorer for the U18's in 09-10, the big striker is a handful with his physical presence. Missed a chunk of last season through injury but came back stongly playing for Freckleton at the end of the 10-11 season and will want to repeat his form from 09-10 which saw him make the 1st team squad several times. The Preston College student had an injury ravaged the 10-11 season for Ricardo and now looking to build up his fitness and re-establish himself has been in the 1st team squad as a sub this season for 1st team games.
