A 2-2 draw on Tuesday night away at Eastleigh ensured the Coasters picked up a vital point on the road.

This weekend, we carry on our bid for survival when fellow strugglers Maidenhead visit Mill Farm on Saturday afternoon.

Although we sit six points from safety, Jim Bentley will be hoping Jamie Proctor’s first goal for the club will bring a run of goals for him.

In this fixture last season, on-loan midfielder Tom Crawford netted the winner in a tight affair – and this fixture will likely be just as close.

The Opposition

Name: Maidenhead United

Form: WWLLD

Nickname: The Magpies

Ground: York Road

League Position: 17th

After promotion to the National League in 2016/17, the 17/18 season brought a good mid-table finish for the Magpies, but since then, they have lingered in the bottom half of the table.

They currently sit four points above Chesterfield, and a win on Saturday will push the Magpies further away from trouble.

Despite losing two out of their last five games, Maidenhead have turned a little corner of late – with two wins from their last two games.

In charge of the Magpies is Alan Devonshire. The former West Ham United midfielder has been in-charge since 2015, and after getting them promoted in 2016/17, has managed to always keep Maidenhead in the National League.

One To Watch

This week’s one to watch is striker, Danny Whitehall.

Whitehall is currently Maidenhead’s top goal scorer with 13 goals in all competitions from 33 appearances.

It is fair to say that although Maidenhead are near the relegation zone, Whitehall has been a positive for Devonshire’s men since stepping up to the National League.

Two of those 13 goals for Whitehall came in their recent 2-0 win over the Coasters opponents from Tuesday night, Eastleigh.

Head-to-Head

The Coasters will be looking to make four wins out six against Maidenhead when the Magpies visit on Saturday.

Maidenhead have only managed the one win from five previous meetings between the two sides.
