AFC Fylde have beaten the freeze for today's game against Woodley Sports at Kellamergh Park and today's game is ON after a thaw of remaining snow and ice.
Woodley come to Kellamergh Park in good form unbeaten in 5 games so Fylde know it won't be an easy task but they are hoping home advantage will see them re-ignite their season.
Skipper Joe Booth and his Fylde team mates are hoping the game is on after nearly 4 weeks without a game since they took on Leigh Genesis away on December 19th. " We are just itching to get back playing. I think our home form is crucial now and we need to ensure we get a win this weekend and go on a run so we can look to finish the season as high as we can. At training this week you could see the lads looked like they’d really missed it and we have had some good sessions albeit indoors."
Mark Wane and Matt Mahoney miss out through suspension this weekend after both players were given 1 match suspensions which have rolled over with recent postponements and Dave Stevenson is missing with a hand injury. Youngster Jason Dodwell will be in the squad for the first time after impressing in the Reserves. There are no other injury worries with O'Hanlon looking to get maximum points in his first game in charge following his appointment at the end of December.
Kick Off is 3pm at Kellamergh Park Match day admission is £7 Adults, £4 Concessions with free entry for U11's and Armed Forces Personnel.
