AFC Fylde pulled off a fabulous victory away at second placed Skelmersdale United with a 4-1 win.
Fylde started to the game brighty and had the better opportunities to take the lead with the home side out of sorts. Fylde went 1-0 up when Matt Walwyn capitalised on a mistake from the Skem keeper and he poked the ball over the line to give them the lead. Joe Booth hit a breathtaking 35 yarder to give Fylde a well deserved 2-0 lead at the break. In the second half Fylde carried on from where the left off depsite a spell of pressure for the home side. Matt Walwyn raced clear of the Skem defence to smash home from the edge of the box to make it 3-0 and he soon had his hatrick when he crashed home from close range following good play from midfielder Matty Kay to make it 4-0. Skemersdale's Aron Turner grabbed a last minute consolation goal for the home side when his shot crept in the bottom corner through a crowd of players.
It was a great team performance for Fylde against a lacklustre Skelmersdale Utd side who did the very same thing at Kellamergh Park earlier this season.
