AFC Fylde boss Kelham O'Hanlon was a happy man after Saturday's 2-1 derby win over Chorley ended a run of 3 defeats.
" We are very pleased with result in what was a typical local derby. We had enough chances to have put the game beyond doubt early on but they came back at us late on and put us under some intense pressure and they pulled a goal back. We defended well which was encouraging and in the end we deserved to take the points and i'm sure any nuetrals watching that game today would have been entertained. Matt Walwyn did well for us, he played a part in both goals and on another day he could have scored a hatrick. Both him and Mark Wane have had something of a lean spell of late but they worked hard and the goals will come for them "
Fylde's next game is on Saturday when they travel to promotion chasers Skelmersdale United Kick Off 3pm. |
