Result - AFC Fylde 2 Chorley 1 (13/02/10)
AFC Fylde grabbed an all important win in a frantic derby clash at Kellamergh Park.

Matt Walwyn should have put Fylde in front early doors but hit the post. Michael Barnes put Fylde in front just after the half hour mark when he rounded the keeper and slotted home for the opener. Fylde then added a quickfire second when Matt Mahoney crashed the ball home to make it 2-0. Chances came and went for both sides before the break but Fylde deserved to be in front at the half way mark. Fylde carried on from where they left off after the break with Walwyn clean through but failing to hit the target then Mark Wane fired a great chance wide when well placed which would have put the game out of reach. Chorley came back into the game and clawed a goal back through Lee Shillitoe following a goalmoutb scramble from a corner and late on Wane Maden hit the bar for Chorley after a lengthy spell of pressure from the visitors but Fylde held on and battled hard to claim the points. It was a thoroughly entertaining 'lancashire derby' with a healthy 323 crowd.
