The partnership between AFC Fylde Community Foundation and Cuadrilla Resources is set to continue with the company’s pledge of continued support.

The commitment means the Foundation will be able to carry on delivering a life-changing programme for young people throughout 2020.

Train Like A Pro supports a diverse range of people in the local community who face many vulnerabilities within their lives, often through no fault of their own.

It uses the power and language of football to connect with disadvantaged young people helping them to grow in confidence and positivity and become better equipped to integrate into the community.

The Train Like A Pro programme provides groups of children most in need with life- changing, sustainable and impactful support around topics such as;

• Health and wellbeing

• Resilience

• Coping mechanisms

• Positive decision making skills.

• Confidence in communicating

• Aspirational personal goal setting.

 The on-going backing from Cuadrilla will enable the Foundation team to extend this innovative and holistic intervention programme by an additional 12 months, helping more than 260 participants.

Cuadrilla CEO Francis Egan commented that the AFC Fylde Community Foundation has, with Cuadrilla’s support, consistently delivered an innovative and hugely effective community support programme. Cuadrilla is very pleased to continue its sponsorship of this very worthwhile work.

 Foundation Director Tom Hutton is delighted the organisation can continue running such a unique community initiative.

He said: “The continued support from Cuadrilla Resources is invaluable. The Train Like A Pro programme is something we take tremendous pride in and it’s fantastic news that we can continue running it throughout the next 12 months.”
