Zac Jones - Goalkeeper Sponsored by The Supporters Club
Jones signed from Harrogate Town in November 2011. The keeper started out at Blackburn Rovers before spells with Stockport County, Forest Green Rovers and Harrogate Town followed. He made 8 appearances for Town in Blue Square North and comes in as the new Number 1 keeper. Jones trains with Barrow in Blue Square Premier on a full time basis but is now established as No 1 on the team sheet with a string of good displays so far in his time with the Coasters. |
Danny MacDonald - Goalkeeper The Whiteside Family
As a junior MacDonald was at Liverpool before joining Burnley on a YTS contract in 2008. He was released by Burnley in summer 2010 and then played a number of games for West Lancs league side Freckleton FC and his displays caught the attention of Evo Stik side Clitheroe where he played a handful of games last season. MacDonald, aged 19, signed for the club after successful trial spell this summer. Has stepped in and played several 1st team games this season and has impressed and will be looking to push new signing Zac Jones for his place.

Sam Nightingale - Defender AVAILABLE TO SPONSOR
Nightingale re-joined the club in November to boost Challinor's defensive options. The young left back had his first stint at the club in 2009 when he broke through from the U18's into the 1st team and made his debut in the club's first season in the Unibond. He played a number of games under previous boss Kelham O'Hanlon before leaving the club in the summer of 2010 and getting 1st team football at Lancaster City. He played a full season at City before finding himself out of the side in 2011 and he re-joined the Coasters for a second spell. Will look to challenge Adam Sumner for the left back birth but can also play in midfield. |
Adam Sumner - Defender Sponsored by Brian Porter Sports Therapist
Left back Sumner joined the club in October 2011 from Evo Stik Premier division sideNorthwich Victoria. Sumner started his career with neighbours Fleetwood Town and was given a full time contract at the club Micky Mellon rating the young defender highly. Sumner then enjoyed loan spells with AFC Blackpool, Kendal Town and Northwich Victoria to aid his development. He promptly signed for the Vics in the summer of 2011 but found himself out of Andy Preece's side and Dave Challinor made him his first signing for the club. A cultured defender with a great left foot Sumner has impressed in his time with the club so far.

James Heywood - Defender Sponsored by Klint Milnes and Bob Davey
23 year old Heywood is an attacking right back signed for a nominal fee from Evostik North side Clitheroe in July 2011. He kick started his career at Rossendale Utd before joining Bamber Bridge. After winning Player of the year award at Brig Heywood then moved to Clitheroe last season where he caught the eye of the O’Hanlon. Scored a hatrick in pre-season and has proved himself to be an effective defender who has great attacking instincts and has weighed in with important goals too.

Danny Monckton- Defender AVAILABLE TO SPONSOR
The young defender broke into the 1st team squad at the end of the 2009-2010 Season and made a big impression. Monckton has come through from the U18's side where we captained them to winning the Lancashire Floodlit League title and finished the season as a key squad member for the 2010-2011 Season. He started the last campaign playing for the development squad and partner club Freckleton FC. The teenager can operate in the centre of defence and at right back and is strong in the tackle and gives 100%. Last season he won the Young Player of the year award and big things expected of him this season. Has spent the summer in the USA Coaching with Bolton Wanderers International Soccer School. Glenn Steel - Defender Sponsored by The Benson Family
Steel by name and steel by nature, the 27 year old Preston born centre half started out with Bamber Bridge where he spent several seasons before joining AFC Fylde for a nominal fee in March 2009 and helped them to promotion to the Unibond League. In the summer of 2009 he signed for Premier Division Kendal Town to join Lee Ashcroft’s side’s assault on promotion. In his first season he was voted players player of the year and has plenty of experience and nous at this level to come in and aid the team's promotion chase. Finished the season last time out as a key player and is proving to be a key figure in the 2011-2012 campaign with some dominant performances at the heart of the back line. |
Sam Betts - Defender AVAILABLE TO SPONSOR
18 year old defender Betts has come through the ranks at AFC Fylde playing for the U18's and winning the Lancs Floodlit League squad before stepping up to reserve team last season and impressive with some strong displays in the centre of defence with his height and aggression. Phil Doughty - Defender Sponsored by Rick Cartwright and Charlie Harrison
Former Blackpool FC Central defender joined us from Fleetwood Town after his contract expired following a season long loan. Doughty had a spell out on loan at Macclesfield Town and Welshpool after falling out of favour and last summer opted to sign for Fylde on loan. The Kirkham Born defender was keen to make an impression for Fylde in their first season in the Unibond and was virtually ever present. He played at the centre of defence and really found his form in the run in to the end of the season. Signed permanently last summer and had an excellent campaign making 44 appearances at the heart of the defence. A consistant and accomplished defender Doughty is as committed as ever. He's been patient waiting for his chance to break into the team and is now back in the side at the centre of defence. |

Louis Lambeth – Defender Sponsored by Hamilton Group
19 year old defender Lambeth, a former Preston North End Academy player joined the club in 2009. Lambeth started with the U18's and played for the LFA Representative side several times when they won the Floodlit League in 2010. Last season he won the Reserve team player of the year and Player of the year award for Freckleton FC whilst on loan with the Lancs club last season. The left back is keen to get amongst the 1st team squad this season and impressed in pre-season. ON LOAN AT AFC BLACKPOOL

Bradley Barnes - Midfielder Sponsored by Fylde Fan Cecil Farmer
The highly rated Chester midfielder Bradley Barnes joins the club after he reached a settlement with the Blues last month to terminate his contract last month. He played 46 appearances for the Blues scoring 9 goals in their championship winning side. He enjoyed a loan spell earlier this season with Colwyn Bay in Blue Square North and was expected to sign for them but with Management duo Dave Challinor and Colin Woodthorpe moving to the Coasters he was keen to re-unite with them again. Challinor was delighted to land the 24 year old. Started his career at Southport. Already proving an inspirational figure in the middle of the park.

Matty Kay - Midfielder Sponsored by Budget Blinds
Kay joined the club in November 2009 from Unibond Premier Division side Burscough. The midfielder is the youngest player at 16 to make his league debut for Blackpool under Simon Grayson in 2006. He joined Fleetwood Town towards the end of the 2008-2009 season on loan before his release from Bloomfield Road in summer 2009. He moved on to Unibond Premier Division side Burscough in August 2009 and was ever present in midfield. Kay has made a big impression since signing for Fylde in the centre of midfield with a number of accomplished displays in the middle of the park with Joe Booth in 2009-2010. After being edged out of the 1st team picture at the start of last season Kay came back strongly and finished another solid season in the middle of the park. Kay is a composed midfielder who likes to get onto the ball and dictate play and under new boss Dave Challinor has taken his chance in midfield.

Ricky Mercer- Midfielder Sponsored by I Waste
Signed for AFC Fylde from Hyde Utd in July 2010. Having begun his career as a scholar with Preston North End, Mercer made his name with Lancaster City before leaving the Giant Axe to follow his ex-boss, Tony Hesketh, to Kendal Town where he spent two successful seasons. He then made the move to Fleetwood Town in December 2006 and went on to be virtually ever present with back to back promotions through the Unibond League to Blue Square North where he was a fans favourite with the Highbury faithful. Ricky, who is 25 is a strong and aggressive player who can play in centre of defence or central midfield. Mercer was installed as club captain despite missing the start of last season with suspension. Came into the side initially at the back but then made the holding central midfield role his own with all his battling qualities shining through. After being sidelined with a knee injury late on in the season the skipper recovered and finished the season strongly until the play off semi final when his knee injury re-curred and he missed the final. Mercer will be keen to make sure the Coasters go one better this season and an influential character on and off the pitch.

Joe Booth - Midfielder Sponsored by Lyndale Fabrics and Bedding
Booth joined the club in July 2008 after a successful time at Unibond Premier Division side Rossendale Utd playing over 100 games. Tenacious and skilful footballer with a great touch and an eye for goal from free kicks. Has proved to be a great addition winning Managers Player and Fans Player of the year last season. He made a significant contribution to our Vodkat Premier Division Championship win scoring 19 goals from midfield. Since being named as new skipper lin the 09-10 season he went onto score 16 goals from his midfield birth and often proved a matchwinner on his day. Booth took time to adjust to a new role in O'Hanlon's system last season but was back to his best scoring some great free kicks against Wakefield, Skelmersdale and in the LFA Final against Bamber Bridge which won him goals of the season for the 2011-2012 campaign. Booth is now one of Fylde's longest serving players after making over 150 games and is again proving to be a key man in midfield with his energy and free kick ability creating chances for his team mates and scoring them too. |

Gary Stopforth - Midfielder Sponsored by Briggs Masonry
Gary Stopforth signed for the club in August 2011. The 25 year old Gary Stopforth is a player with some pedigree. The midfielder is re-knowned for his energy and strength and the former Blackburn Rovers youth team player has enjoyed successful spells with Clitheroe, FC United and Kendal Town and Ramsbottom Utd where he was an influential player. Had a spell in the USA IN 2011 but on his return opted to join the Coasters. Made his debut in the 4-0 win over N Power League 2 side Morecambe in pre-season. Quickly established himself as a firm favourite with his no nonsense style in midfield. Currently sidelined for 6-8 weeks with a broken jaw.

Paul Jarvis - Winger spo s S S Sponsored by Austen Cope and Kevin Carter

Jarvis began his professional football career at Morecambe when they became a football league club before he relocated down south to play for Tiverton Town in 2008-2009 in the Toolstation South West Premier Division where he played as a wing back. Jarvis then re-located back to the North West for his continued University education in the summer of 2009 and joined Tony Hesketh at Lancaster City in August 2009. He was a crucial part of Lancaster City’s promotion push which saw them amass 96 points but lose out in the play off final to Colwyn Bay. Again last season Jarvis continued his good form at the Dolly Blues as an exciting winger who can play on the left or right weighing in with important goals before signing for Fylde for a nominal fee in January 2011. Jarvis was a player O'Hanlon had watched and he was delighted to bring in the attacking player who scored some crucial goals in 17 appearances at the end of last season. Jarvis has endured a frustrating season so far but is now back from a long standing thigh injury and looking to re-kindle last season's form. On contract until the end of the 2011-2012 campaign.

Michael Barnes - Winger Sponsored by Austen Cope and Kevin Carter
The former Manchester United youngster joined Fylde in August 09. He was released by the Reds at the end of the 07-08 Season and after spells with Shrewsbury, Northwich and Southport he signed for FC Halifax. He joined Fylde following a successful trial spell last summer. The pacy winger can also play in a central role when called upon but his displays from the wing have shown his creative ability by setting up a number of goals as well as scoring key goals for Fylde last time out - must be one of the fastest players in this league. A real fans favourite at Kellamergh Park. Last season Barnes made 51 appearances scoring 6 goals and at times showed why he was once on United's books. Won Players Player of the Year and Fans Player of the Year last season which says it all. Signed a contract with the club until the end of the 2011-2012 Season.

Isaac Kusaloka - Striker Sponsored by Judi and Leah Roberts
The Zambian born striker signed from Squires Gate in summer of 2009 after bursting on the scene there and scoring 13 goals in the Vodkat Premier division. The teenager has now been with the Coasters for his third season and is looking break into the 1st team squad on a regular basis this season. Last season he played a full season with Freckleton on loan and finished top scorer as well as finishing top scorer with AFC Fylde's reserve side. Isaac has pace and has ability to do the unexpected. Ben Waddington - Striker AVAILABLE TO SPONSOR
The young striker signed for ther club in the summer of 2011 after finishing the previous season gaining Vodkat 1st Division title with AFC Blackpool and top scorer with 31 goals. Has found his chances at first team limited and has also played for AFC Blackpool as a dual registered player this season. Scored 1 goal against Wakefield earlier this season from the bench. Under Dave Challinor Waddington has recently been recalled into the squad and has made several appearances from the bench.

Andy Fowler - Striker Sponsored by The Supporters Club
Fowler joined the club at the end of November from Evo Stik Premier side Marine FC. The highly rated forward started his career at Bootle and rattled in the goals as there top scorer for three seasons. That prompted a move to Evo Stik Premier side Northwich Victoria in Summer of 2010 and he finished as the Vics top scorer and Player of the year with an impressive 24 goals in 42 games for the Vics. In the summer 2011 he found himself on the brink of a move to Blue Square Premier newboys Stockport only for a takeover to rule out a move and he duly signed for his local club Marine in August 2011. A pacy striker who wil be keen to get on the goal trail with the Coasters. Scored his first Coasters goal in the 6-2 win at Clitheroe and is off and running. |
