Lewis Edge - Goalkeeper

Edge signed for AFC Fylde October 2009. He began his career at Blackpool FC where he made a handful of 1st team appearances during Blackpool FC's promotion to the Championship in 2007. He also enjoyed loan spells at Rochdale, Bury and Conference outfit Northwich Victoria prior to his release in the summer of 2008. Edge was signed from Morecambe in the summer of 2009 and last season he established himself as No 1.
Dave Stevenson - Goalkeeper

Stevenson signed for Fylde in Summer 09. He started his career as an apprentice at Blackburn Rovers before spells with Nottingham Forest and played for England U18’s. The 24 year old then went to the USA playing college football before returning to the UK in early 2009. After building up his fitness this summer Stevenson broke into the side and has made several impressive performances this season. Vocal and a great shot stopper he will be looking to challenge for the No 1 Spot again this season.
Matt Lawlor - Defender

Lawlor joined the club in Summer of 2008 after being released by Championship Club Blackpool. The former Blackpool FC Youth Team captain is a capable and committed defender who established himself at right back last season until a knee injury curtailed his season late on. A committed defender he can play anywhere across the back four Lawlor is keen to build on last season’s success this term. Has started well in pre-season and after a spell out through injury but now back to full fitness and finished last season strongly in the heart of Fylde's defence.
Michael Stringfellow - Defender

Signed for AFC Fylde in July 2010. He started at Blackburn Rovers as a youngster and then joined Morecambe’s Academy at 16. The young central defender made the step up to the reserves and then made 1st team debut for Morecambe in 2000 whilst in the Conference under Jim Harvey. He went onto make over 100 appearances over six years until 2006. Joined Barrow in summer 2006 and made 35 appearances for Barrow in Conference 2006. Then he moved onto Stalybridge Celtic Conference North the following season before signing for Lancaster City in summer 2008. Stringfellow was made skipper at Giant Axe and last season led them to the play off final where they lost to Colwyn Bay. Stringfellow is Football In the Community Officer at Morecambe FC.
John Hills - Defender

Hills joined AFC Fylde in August 2010. Hills has had a successful football career in the Football League which began at Blackpool as a teenager before moving to Everton for £100,000 in 1995. He then re-joined his hometown club Blackpool in 1997 and enjoyed Play off wins in 2001 and won the LDV Trophy in 2002 and 2004. The attacking full back went onto make over 200 appearances for Blackpool scoring 20 goals. Spells followed at Gillingham, Sheffield Wednesday and a second stint at Bloomfield Road before he went into non league with Fleetwood Town in 2008. Hills left Fleetwood Town in May 2010 and is now AFC Fylde’s Player Coach for the 2010-2011 Season.
Phil Doughty - Defender

Former Blackpool FC Central defender joined us from Fleetwood Town after his contract expired following a season long loan. Doughty had a spell out on loan at Macclesfield Town and Welshpool after falling out of favour and last summer opted to sign for Fylde on loan. The Kirkham Born defender was keen to make an impression for Fylde in their first season in the Unibond and was virtually ever present. He played at the centre of defence and really found his form in the run in to the end of the season. Signed permanently this summer.
Ryan Elderton - Defender

Elderton joined Fylde in August 09 from Blue Square North neigbours Fleetwood Town. The Morecambe born full back started his career at Stockport County with spells at Lancaster City, Barrow and joined Fleetwood in 2008.After playing in pre-season for Fylde in the summer of 2009 he then signed permanently. After starting well for his new club the accomplished left back picked up a foot injury early on in the season and then missed several weeks before returning and once he regained his fitness Elderton re-captured his early season form to finish the season as one of our most consistent performers.
Neil Uberschor - Defender/Midfielder

Signed from Lancaster City on the eve of the 2009/2010 Season. Has shown his utility by operating at full back and in right midfield. Was club captain at Lancaster City making well over 150 appearances at Conference North level. Previously with Morecambe. Uberschor  a tenacious and committed player played in defence and midfield for the club last season and his versatality is of great benefit to Kelham O'Hanlon's squad for the new campaign.
Danny Penswick - Midfielder

Signed in Summer 2009 from Fleetwood Town. Penswick is a combative midfielder who started his career with Blackpool FC. The 19 year old plays with enthusiasm and energy and was a key player Fylde's squad last season. Scored a hatrick against Witton last season but after injury found himself out of the starting line up. Will be keen to re-establish himself again for the new season
Matty Kay - Midfielder

Kay joined the club in November 2009 from Unibond Premier Division side Burscough. The midfielder is the youngest player at 16 to make his league debut for Blackpool under Simon Grayson in 2006. He joined Fleetwood Town towards the end of the 2008-2009 season on loan before his release from Bloomfield Road in summer 2009. He moved on to Unibond Premier Division side Burscough in August 2009 and was ever present in midfield. Kay has made a big impression since signing for Fylde in the centre of midfield with a number of accomplished displays in the middle of the park with Joe Booth and will be a key player for Fylde this season.
Ricky Mercer- Midfielder

Signed for AFC Fylde from Hyde Utd in July 2010. Having begun his career as a scholar with Preston North End, Mercer made his name with Lancaster City before leaving the Giant Axe to follow his ex-boss, Tony Hesketh, to Kendal Town where he spent two successful seasons. He then made the move to Fleetwood Town in December 2006 and went on to be virtually ever present with back to back promotions through the Unibond League to Blue Square North where he was a fans favourite with the Highbury faithful. Ricky, who is 25 is a strong and aggressive player who can play in defence or midfield.
Joe Booth - Midfielder 

Booth joined the club in July 2008 after a successful time at Unibond Premier Division side Rossendale Utd playing over 100 games. Tenacious and skilful footballer with a great touch and an eye for goal from free kicks. Has proved to be a great addition winning Managers Player and Fans Player of the year last season. He made a significant contribution to our Vodkat Premier Division Championship win scoring 19 goals from midfield. Since being named as new skipper last season he went onto score 16 goals from his midfield birth and often a matchwinner on his day. Booth will again be relishing the new campaign.
Matt Mahoney - Midfielder

Matt joined the club in the summer of 2009 from rivals Bamber Bridge following a stint in America where he played college football. Matt is the brother of former Fylde midfielder Dan Mahoney and is a versatile player equally comfortable in defence or midfield and gives the management team plenty of options. Good on the ball and an eye for a goal Mahoney was  in and out of the side last season but when called upon he performed well and plays the game how it should be played with a great range of passing and skill to match. Will be keen to establish himself in the starting line up this season.
Michael Barnes - Winger

The former Manchester United youngster joined Fylde in August 09. He was released by the Reds at the end of the 07-08 Season and after spells with Shrewsbury, Northwich and Southport he signed for FC Halifax. He joined Fylde following a successful trial spell last summer. The pacy winger can also play in a central role when called upon but his displays from the wing have shown his creative ability by setting up a number of goals as well as scoring key goals for Fylde last time out - must be one of the fastest players in this league.
Matt Walwyn - Striker

He joined the club after previous experience with Kirkham Juniors and the Blackburn Rovers Academy side. Now aged 19, he is the son of former York City and Blackpool prolific scorer Keith Walwyn, and hails from Blackpool. Matt showcased his talent on the biggest stage in football at just 17, scoring 2 goals in ten minutes at Wembley to win the FA Vase Final at Wembley. After an in and out campaign in the 08-09 season Walwyn was looking to fulfil his potential at Step 4. Walwyn has an encouraging Unibond campaign last season, despite some niggling injuries throughout he showed his goalscoring potential with 19 goals in just 17 starts to be the clubs leading scorer.
Tom Cahill - Striker

The 23 year old striker signed for AFC Fylde from Blue Square Premier newboys Fleetwood Town in July 2010. The former Blackburn Rovers academy youngster started his career with Euxton Villa before joining Kirkham & Wesham as a 17 year old for his first spell with the club. A move to Sheffield University then saw him step up and join Matlock Town in 2006 he scored 19 goals in 23 games to help them win promotion from the Unibond Premier to Conf North 2006-2007. Cahill was then snapped up by Coca Cola League 2 side Rotherham Utd in 2 year deal for £10,000. In his 1st year he was loaned to Conference side Altrincham and helped them survive relegation. In his 2nd year a loan spell at Ilkeston Town saw another good return and helped them to promotion to Conf North with 23 goals in 30 appearances. After being released in 2009 Cahill then moved back to the North West due to work commitments and then signed for Blue Square North side Fleetwood Town where he scored 4 goals in 11 starts but after being sent on loan to Harrogate Town. Cahill was released by Mick Mellon at the end of the 2009-2010 season. He is a Law Lecturer at Runshaw College to none.
Isaac Kusaloka - Striker

Zambian Kusaloka joined the club in November 2009 from Fylde coast neighbours Squires Gate FC. The 18 year old scored 13 goals this season for Gate in the Vodkat Premier Division and had a short spell at Unibond Premier Division side Kendal Town. Started his career at Nelson before moving to Gate towards the end of last season. A striker with pace and raw potential which Fylde's management team hope to develop by playing for Fylde's U18 and Reserve sides.
Andy Bell - Striker

Bell started his career at Blackburn Rovers with his first pro-contract. At 19 he was released and joined League One side Wycombe Wanderers in 2003 becoming one of Lawrie Sanchez’s first signings. Two seasons later he signed for Hednesford Utd in 2004 and scored an impressive 30 goals in 60 appearances. Andy joined Fleetwood Town midway through the 2005/06 season from Hednesford Town and enjoyed their rise through the leagues winning promotion from Unibond North in his first season and again carried on his goal scoring exploits the following season. In 2008-2009 season Town won the Premier Division. In his first season in the Blue Square North he scored 13 in 20 appearances before an injury halted his season and amongst a glut of new signings from Micky Mellon he was relegated to a place on the bench. In the 09-10 season Bell then found himself out of favour and opted for loan spells at Kendal and Guiseley where they won the Unibond Premier Division. 37 goals in 91 starts his Town record. Bell will be looking forward to getting a full season under his belt and back to doing what he does best – scoring goals for AFC Fylde.
Jamie Milligan - Midfielder

Milligan signed for AFC Fylde on a 3 year deal in July 2010 from Blue Square Premier side Fleetwood Town. The former Everton and Blackpool midfielder made over 160 appearances for Town scoring 50 goals and enjoyed great success with the club and was voted Northern Premier League Player of the year in 2008. Last season Milligan made 27 appearances and scored 10 goals for Town in another promotion winning campaign which saw them gain promotion via theplay offs to the Blue Square Premier. Milligan will prove to be a key man in the club’s aim for promotion this season with his quality at dead ball situations and his experience being invaluable to the side this season.this league.
