AFC Fylde Community Foundation and The Baxter Group Strike Innovative Partnership to Improve Mental Wellbeing

An innovative new partnership between AFC Fylde Community Foundation and The Baxter Group will pave the way to improved mental health for local young people.

Support from the bespoke Lancashire-based developer means the Foundation can now deliver stimulating wellbeing and resilience building sessions throughout the Fylde.

The ground-breaking programme will be based in local primary schools and provide participants with the opportunity to learn key information and hands-on experience of how to remain both physically and mentally fit and strong even in the most challenging of times and situations.

All sessions will be delivered by fully qualified teachers from the Foundation, supported by The Baxter Group employees, and will involve engaging young people and encouraging them to make informed choices around how to lead a healthier lifestyle.

The Foundation’s new health and wellbeing programme is set to launch in September and will run until July 2020, with the partnership set to engage with a total of 20 primary schools in Fylde within the first year.

AFC Fylde Foundation Director Tom Hutton is delighted to have established the new partnership with The Baxter Group and says it can only lead to positive change within the local community.

He added: “The Foundation firmly believes that mental wellbeing and resilience is an incredibly important part of a child’s upbringing.

“Through the support of The Baxter Group, we can provide this unique programme which will directly support and engage with young people, helping them to make better informed decisions on how to lead a healthier lifestyle and maintain positive wellbeing.

“The coaching team and I are incredibly excited to get this programme started and look forward to it being a great success.”

Callum Baxter, Director at The Baxter Group is proud of the newly formed partnership and said “As part of our commitment to both Mental Health and young people, we are proud to work alongside the Community Foundation to help further our engagement within the community.”
